Vice President, Supply Chain
Our client, a Canadian brewery, was looking to hire a Vice President, Supply Chain to provide executive leadership in the creation and development of a national supply chain strategy. With the objective of increasing shareholder value, this individual would be responsible for bringing Best Practices to all supply chain management processes. Our client was looking for someone with extensive background in operations and logistics management as well as line and staff management experience. This individual would be responsible for optimizing the utilization of corporate assets, evaluating new production opportunities and leading supplier negotiations.
We searched the Canadian marketplace for top supply chain experts. Our strategy included targeting several complex multi-plant, multi-office organizations. Our search yielded a short list of candidates including individuals with demonstrated success in consolidating and streamlining operations to improve supply chain efficiency.
We were able to find a seasoned Supply Chain/ Logistics executive with over 15 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail industries. With strengths in supply chain re-engineering and optimization of integrated logistics systems, they were well positioned to take on this strategic role. The hired candidate effectively worked with the senior leadership team to improve the efficiency of operations from procurement to production and distribution. Their efforts resulted in cost savings in the millions of dollars. This individual was subsequently promoted to Senior VP of the organization.
