Our client, a major international confections company, was looking to hire a Director of Human Resources to work with the President in leading the repatriation of the HR function into Canada from the US. The ideal candidate would be an exceptional HR generalist with senior leadership and change management experience.
We met with our client to gain a better understanding of the organization, its current state and the hired candidate's mandate to lead the HR transition. We conducted a thorough marketplace search to identify top HR talent with strong generalist competencies and demonstrated leadership capabilities. More specifically, we targeted individuals with prior experience reporting to the President and working with a senior management team to effect change.

We were able to find a results-driven HR professional with extensive organizational development experience and demonstrated success in HR-related corporate restructuring initiatives. This individual began their HR career as a Human Resources Advisor, progressing through various HR positions into a management role where they acted as a strategic business partner. They were extremely skilled at forging collaboration between senior management, bargaining agents and other stakeholders. This was particularly important as this company was about to embark on a significant organizational change. The Director continued to lead HR for the Canadian business and successfully transitioned the company through a corporate reorganization. This transition resulted in their working with a new and improved executive team in the company.
