Ontario Provincial Ministry – Business Development
Mandrake was selected by the Ministry to target foreign business consultants with expertise in the Automotive, Advanced Technologies, Health Sciences and Natural Resources industries. These consultants would represent the Province in their home country with the purpose of promoting and driving foreign investment into the Province to support development and leading-edge initiatives building long-term prosperity and global competitiveness. Prior to this, Mandrake was retained by the Ontario Ministry to assist in the recruitment of four (4) international business development consultants for the USA and the United Kingdom.
Challenged to assemble a leadership team including a VP Sales for a company newly acquired by our client, we found an exceptional senior level sales leader with the right industry, private equity and functional experience.
Our client; a well-known brand leader in the sports industry, hired us to find an executive team leader and contributor to their marketing branch. Our association with the client developed as the result of a referral from an existing client. The search was confidential in nature and situated in a western Canadian city with few sports marketing executives, making candidate re-location the likely outcome. The successful candidate had a history and passion for the industry, previous experience not only in sports and promotion, but specific to a similar, but smaller organization. His business education and marketing/sales in the areas of sports, entertainment, special events and telecommunication were critical components for developing and managing the organizations; brand strategy, including the implementation of brand marketing campaigns.
